Job Title: Controls Systems Engineer

Overview:
Our client is a leader in the development of advanced robotic systems that enhance efficiency and automation in logistics and warehousing. They are seeking a proactive and technically skilled individual to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our client’s pilot machine. This role is critical in maintaining optimal machine performance, resolving technical issues, and supporting seamless integration into daily workflows. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot, test, and enhance the functionality of the machine while providing valuable feedback for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
– Swiftly identify and resolve technical issues to minimize machine downtime and maintain smooth operations.
– Provide hands-on assistance to the local operations team, ensuring the pilot machine integrates seamlessly with daily workflows.
– While coding experience is not required, you will be responsible for uploading code and assisting with testing and troubleshooting to ensure the machine functions optimally.
– Accurately document technical issues, observations, and performance metrics, providing actionable feedback to the development team to enhance future machine iterations.
– Work collaboratively with engineers, operators, and developers to address and overcome operational and technical challenges.

Requirements:
– Familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLC (expert) and Codesys (basic) applications for troubleshooting and system monitoring.
– Ability to use Linux-based commands for system navigation and basic troubleshooting.
– Hands-on experience or knowledge of Keyence cameras and Cognex scanners for machine vision and automation.
– Proven experience in a technical support or operations role, preferably within an industrial or automated environment.
– Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues under pressure.
